there are two major sections of the recommendations:

• Board Composition
• Member participation

some feedback has been received and more is welcome. the committee will reconvene and consider all comments received before it presents its next recommendation.

CILOC Process

In the fall of 2008 the ACLA Members identified a number of critical issues that they wished to address as an organization. A list of those issues was voted on by the Members and a process developed for addressing each of them. The Critical Issues Launch and Oversight Committee was formed and Sharon Helfrich, Director of the Bayne Memorial Library, graciously agreed to Chair this initiative. A Task Force was formed around each of the Critical Issues and much work has already been accomplished. Recommendations are beginning to be released to the Members from these groups. As those recommendations become available they are being sent to the Regions for discussion and feedback. There will also be opportunity for comment via this discussion forum. As this is a Member-driven process, input from all Members will be crucial in shaping strategies for change.
